Mission Statement

The California Junior Tour (CJT) offers an opportunity for talented junior golfers to enjoy and develop  their golf game during the fall and winter months, while gaining tournament experience, personal development, and exposure to college golf coaches, all in a highly competitive environment on some of California's and Nevada’s top golf courses.

California Junior Tour Code of Conduct

In order for California Junior Tour tournaments to be enjoyable learning experiences for everyone, all members are required to adhere to a set of guidelines known as the California Junior Tour Code of Conduct. The purpose of "The Code" is to help Tour participants grow and mature by understanding and accepting the consequences of their actions. The Code of Conduct is to be followed throughout the junior's stay at the tournament.

All California Junior Tour players must wear proper golf attire while at the golf facility. Hats/visors must be worn with brim forward. Collared shirts, with sleeves, must be worn and tucked in at all times. Shorts must be no more than 5" above the knee or the inseam of the shorts must measure at least 5". Tank tops, t-shirts, bare mid-drifts, denim shorts, short-shorts, cut-off shorts, gym shorts, and jeans are prohibited on course property. Should a host facility have a stricter dress code, players will be notified and the course's policy will take precedence. Players in violation of the dress code will not be allowed to tee off.

Use of drugs, alcohol, smoking or chewing tobacco products are prohibited at all times. Vandalism at a host facility, hotel or other property or any conduct reflecting poorly on the Tour and its membership shall be considered a violation of The Code. Any of the violations described In this paragraph shall be cause for immediate disqualification from the tournament.

The California Junior Tour reserves the right to suspend or revoke a player's membership for any major breach of The Code or any major unsportsmanlike behavior described in the Rules and Etiquette section of this Handbook. The California Junior Tour Tournament Committee may assess any or all of the preceding penalties based on the severity and frequency of the violation(s). In the event of a suspension, both the player and parent/guardian will be required to submit a written account of the Code of Conduct violation to the California Junior Tour Executive Committee within 30 days of the suspension. The Committee will determine the length of the suspension after reviewing all submitted materials, including a California Junior Tour Tournament Staff member account of the violation. Any player whose membership is under suspension will not be eligible for tournament play, a Tour Championship Tournament, or post season honors.
