Annual membership fee is $165 for the season, which extends from September 2008 through April 2009. The typical fee for each tournament is in the range of $220 to $275, which includes 2 rounds of golf on Saturday and Sunday, range balls each day, and a lunch each day. In addition, each tournament participant will receive 1 dozen TaylorMade TP Black or TP Red premium golf balls (Sergio's ball) at each tournament check-in. A California Junior Tour (CJT) member is expected to have the knowledge, ability and experience to play a competitive round of golf within the CJT Pace of Play Guidelines, without assistance and according to the rules and etiquette of the game. Tour members in the 15-18 age divisions should be able to score a minimum of one round in each event within 17 strokes of the course rating and in the 11-14 divisions, one round in each event within 24 strokes of the course rating.

Non-residents of California

Residency of California is not required for membership in the California Junior Tour, and junior golfers who are residents of other states are encouraged to complete a regular membership application.

Player Divisions

Boy's and girl's divisions are separated by age:  11 to 14 and 15 to 18.   Any 14-year-old member, who will be 15 years old by July 20, 2009, may, at their option, play up in age, to meet the age requirement of Junior World Golf Championships qualification. All other members must compete within their own age division.  If the CJT Competition Committee finds that a member doesn't yet meet tour standards in the higher age division, the member will be asked to return to the younger age division.

Typical tournament yardages for each division are: Boys 15-18: 6,500-6900; Boys 11-14: 6,000-6300; Girls 15-18: 5,700-6,100; Girls 11-14: 5,300-5,700. Yardages will vary based upon course conditions, weather conditions, or other extenuating circumstances.

Pace of play is closely monitored during each tournament and members guilty of slow play will be subject to penalty and/or disqualification.
