The California Junior Tour, now in its tenth year as California's premier fall- winter junior golf tour, offers eighteen, 36-hole, weekend tournaments from September through April. Tiurnaments are grouped in a Fall Series, from September through December and a Winter Series, from January through April. Each series offers eight tournaments, followed by a 36-hole Championship Tournament. The 2010 Spring Championship will be at Coyote Creek Golf Club, San Jose, and the 2010 Fall Championship Tournament will be at La Costa Resort and Spa, Carlsbad.
At a minimum, to be eligible to register for a series ending Championship tournament, a CJT member must return at least one valid score in a series tournament. Should a Championship tournament be over booked, qualification to participate shall be determined by members best tournament finish in any series event.
With tournament sites located from the San Francisco Bay area to Rancho Mirage, San Diego and points in between, the tour schedule is designed to allow easy access for as many juniors as possible at reasonable cost. Weekend dates allow for tournament participation with minimal interference with classes or other school activities. Most families will find one or more locations close enough to home to offer the convenience of a daily commute. Others families often combine a tournament with a family weekend mini-vacation.
Your annual membership guarantees an opportunity to play in any, or all events, except the two Championship Tournaments, subject only to space availability at time of registration. Early registration will guarantee your entry in the tournaments of your choice.
In addition, any member with a tournament finish within the ranges set forth below is guaranteed entry for the Championship tournament at the end of that series.
- Boys 15-18: Finish 1 through T5
- Girls 15-18: Finish 1 through T2
- Boys 11-14: Finish 1 through T3
- Girls 11-14: All tournament winners
A full Championship field of 100 players will include approximately 48 boys and 21 girls in the 15 -18 age divisions and 24 boys and 9 girls in the 11-14 age divisions.
Typically, spots are open for alternates and any member who has completed a minimum of 1 tournament during the series should register for the Championship if he/she wishes to participate. Alternates for vacant spots, in each age division, will be selected based upon the member's highest finish and the date of that finish in any series tournament. Only eligible members who have registered online for the Championship Tournament will be chosen as alternates.

Spectators are allowed on the course for all tournaments, unless prohibited by management of the host golf course.
